Happy 8th Anniversary

On July 19th Mike and I celebrated our 8th Anniversary. We took Kyle, Kate and Levi out to the Keg with us for dinner. We had a great time. I can't believe it's already been 8 years. The time has gone by so fast and with 4 kids to show for it. We have had our up's and down's but we are still in love now more than ever. Happy Anniversary Babe I hope to have 50 more with you.

Thunder in the Valley

On Saturday July 17th we had a super fun day quading in the crowsnest pass. We met up with Jamey Hall who works with Mike and his family and with Jeff Sillito and his family. We all had a great time, the boys were in heaven. We couldn't get them off the quads at the end of the day.
This is Mike taking Sydnee for her first ride at 2 1/2 months old. I think she liked it as much as the boys.

They were so dirty by the end of the day. A good indication that they loved every minute if it.
After the day of quading we met up with Katie, Jantz, Kyle ,Kate and some of Kate's family at Thunder in the valley. One of the biggest fire work shows around. We were there a few hours early and even though the boys were so excited for the fire works they all fell asleep and slept through the whole show including Sydnee. That was our fist time going to it and it was worth the drive over there. It was a great fire work show. We didn't get home till 2:30am but we had a super fun time.

Mike's 30th Birthday

On July 11th 2010 we celebrated Mike's 30th birthday. We were in Magrath this weekend because this was the start of my 2 week stay. We invited Mom and John to Vince and Heather's and we all ate an awesome steak dinner and skor cake. We had a great time and the boys loved the sparklers on the cake. Now I can bug Mike about being an old man haha.

Happy Canada Day

Happy Canada Day!! For Canada Day we headed over to Drumheller for the parade and to spend the day there. The parade was great and the kids got lots of candy. After the parade we headed over to Bernie and the boys diner for lunch. We had awesome burgers and a boat load of fries. After lunch the boys couldn't wait to get to the Royal Tyrrell museum so we headed there. We spent a couple of hours there checking out the dinosaurs. The kids loved it there and had a fun time. Now it was time to go cool off back in town at the fountains and spray park. I think the boys had more fun climbing on the big dinosaur statue then playing in the water ( it was pretty dang cold though). After spending a couple of hours there we decided to head home. About half way home Mike realized he didn't have his "black book". So we quickly pulled over to search the truck frantically. We couldn't find it any where and Mike was starting to panic. So we turned around and headed back to Drumheller. When we got there we again searched the truck and Mike searched everywhere that we had been. He even asked people if they had seen it or turned it in. After no luck there he checked it the box of his truck and in the stroller one more time. Sure enough there it was tucked inside the bottom of the stroller. Mike was very relieved and I was annoyed that we drove all the way back when it was in the truck the whole time. So then we headed back home again. When we got home we ate some super then we headed over to Kinsmen park to watch the fire works. We had to brave all the mosquitoes but the fire works were awesome and I think that was the best part of the day.

Aidan's 5th Birthday

Monday June 28th 2010, Aidan turned 5. He was so excited when the day finally came. He had been asking me how many more days for the past month. We made him a DC cake and he got to open a few gifts. The night of his Birthday we headed out for the big K&S camp out. Which all of us were excited about. It was our first camp of the season. The boys were super excited to sleep in the trailer. We camped for 2 nights with the K&S employees and their families. It was a great time. So Happy Birthday to our Aidan I can't believe he's already 5.

Echo Lake June 2010

Our first trip to Echo Lake was awesome. It was a mad dash to get there but we made it. We decided Thursday 24th in the afternoon that we would go down after finding out Vince and Heather were there. So it was a rush to pack and a long drive but we got there by 11:00pm that night. We got a little bit of rain on Friday but other than that the weather was great. I can't say the same for the water...It was FREEZING..... Then it was time to ski. The first ski of the season is always a little nerve wracking. Not knowing if you'll get up or not. I know the boys were nervous. Me especially after just having a c-section 2 months prior, I was really scared. My first one was a little rough. I hung on for dear life while being drug under water for a good minute and a half but I was determined to get up first try. My second ski was way better and I felt really good afterward. Kyle, Kate and baby Levi came Friday afternoon and that was really fun. We had an awesome day playing in the sun and riding jet skies. We even had a bon- fire that night to end the day. I think the Sydnee and Levi loved there first time at Echo too. They both slept great even through the night. Saturday was another day spent soaking up the sun and tolerating the cold water. We skied, surfed and wake boarded a little. We packed up then stopped in Kalispell for a bite to eat before heading home. We are so lucky to have Vince and Heather who share their cabin with us. I know it has become our favorite summer spot and a great place to spend time with family and friends.

T-Ball

Griffin and Aidan have been in T-ball this spring and I think they have really enjoyed it. Every monday night we make it a family night and we all go watch them. Mike got right in there and helped couch a couple of times. Mason enjoyed playing on the park more than watching. I guess Sydnee and I were the cheerleaders. Most T-ball nights were cold but we still enjoyed getting out to cheer them on. Usually T-ball was followed by an ice cream from Dairy Queen or a slurpee from the gas station which I think was our favorite part.
